FAQ

Will the DJ make announcements or act as emcee for the evening?

Of Course! This is a giant part of my job. You can feel at ease that your event will proceed as smooth as possible. With that said I try to stay off the mic when it is not necessary. This is your big day and it is about YOU! not me.

All About That Bass

To every event I bring two 15″ Electro-Voice EKX Subwoofers, topped by  two 12″ Electro-Voice Speakers. I use a Denon Prime 4 controller, and Virtual DJ run on a Mac Book Pro. Music is stored in multiple locations for redundancy, and I have backups of EVERYTHING. I also use Audio-Technica wireless microphones, and a Chauvet Gigbar Move ILS for lighting. In general I try not to look to flashy; this day should be about you and your decor.

Deposit is 350$

I accept Cash, Check, and Zelle for payment

Most Definitely!

I love getting to know my couples in the lead up to the event. Getting to know each other and your music tatses is a BIG part of the recipe for a great party. I tyically try to meet with each couple AT LEAST 2 times. Once for the initial consultation, and again about 2 weeks before the event. At this second meeting we will really nail down your itinerary for the evening, and everything music. These meetings can take place over Zoom, or at a local establishemnt in Columbus (i.e. Starbucks) to get a little in person face to face interaction.

Absolutely! I welcome your choices and will be happy to play what you want. There are usually a variety of ages to please and I have music for everybody.  If you’re not sure about the music, you can also just leave it up to me, or some mix of the two. I am here to read the crowd and get people having a good time while also incorporating all of the songs you want to hear.

To make it even easier, my online planner has categories for you, and suggestions for songs for special events throughout the night.

YES. This is your night, and you are welcome to have as much control over the music as you would like. One of the most important things for me to know in order to throw an excellent party is what you DO NOT like.

I will direct you to the Philosophy page to get an in depth look at how I approach wedding dance floors. In general I strive to be as Cheese-Free as possible, but this line gets drawn in different places by different people. I always strive to adapt to the group that I am DJing for.

The lawyer says “all moneis paid are norefundable.  If the Purchaser cancels the engagement within 10 days of the Event Date, 614 Mobile Entertainment will issue a credit for the amount paid to date.”

I generally serve Columbus Ohio, (614) and surrounding areas, but I am willing to travel if the circumstances are favorable. Long distances may require additional fees.

Sure am! Never hire a wedding vendor, especially a DJ, that doesn’t have insurance.  I am covered by a $1,000,000 liability policy and will gladly show it to you or your venue if you want.

I have done over 350 weddings, and I have never missed one. Under normal circumstances I will always be there, and I will arrive nice and early to account for any travel complications. I do not take sick days, and as long as I am physically able I will always show up to a contracted event.

In extreme cases (Death, extreme injury, acts of god) I have backups that I can call to fill in if something comes up: (Buckeye Entertainment, Diamond entertainment, and a few retired freinds who know what they are doing). You should never worry, as even in the most extreme cases I will get you a DJ who I trust to do the job and do it well.
